Reconstruct My World” is a line that I came up with as a spin off of my current focus of apparel creation, patchwork clothing. I recreate clothing, by cutting up existing clothing into squares or rectangles and put them back together to make a new textiles as fabric, and create new garments. Also, with cutting up clothes, I gather many clothing scraps that pile up. I will use those to create textiles and clothing as well. Sewing up small scraps together, or use them as filling underneath vinyl is how I create a new textile. Reconstructing clothing from garments that already exist is my way of lessening my carbon footprint in the fashion world. I produce minimal waste when i recreate with the waste that I already make.
